AEMO published its 2011 Power System Adequacy – Two Year Outlook (PSA) report on 9 September 2011.
The PSA covers the period from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2013 and outlines the expected impact on medium term power system security and reliability. The report complements the recently release Electricity Statement of Opportunities, which provides an outlook for the supply-demand balance for the ten years from 2011-21.
The PSA looks at scenarios which assess key aspects of the power system’s capability and takes into account the Commonwealth Government’s Clean Energy Future Plan announced on 10 July 2011.
2011 Power System Adequacy – Two Year Outlook Appendix document contains the methodologies and a detailed list of assumptions used in the studies.
