Policy on Provision of Network Data

Changes to the National Electricity Rules (NER) made under the National Electricity Amendment (Confidentiality Arrangements in Respect of information Required for Power System Studies) commenced on 27 February 2009.

The Rule affects the provision of power system data by AEMO to Registered Participants and allows Registered Participants to request, and AEMO to provide power system data for Power System Studies as described in NER clauses 3.13.3(k)(2) and 3.13.3(l) respectively.

Data requests will be considered on a case by case basis, to determine if AEMO can provide the requested data. Please make data requests using the form attached below.

Under 3.13.3(l1) of the NER, AEMO is entitled to charge a fee to recover all reasonable costs incurred in providing information to a Registered Participant.  Those fees are shown in the Data Provision Request form below.

Since 27 February 2009 information under clause 3.13.3(l) has been provided to the Registered Participants listed in the spreadsheet below. This information is being provided subject to this Disclaimer.

Some Network Service Providers also have access to data electronically, and a register of usage can be found here.
