GUIDE TO MARKET SYSTEMS - GAINING ACCESS

The Guide to Market Systems - Gaining Access is to:

• Assist intending registrants with information relevant to decisions made before submitting a registration form to AEMO.
• Provide details of entitlements for network connectivity to MarketNet, including bandwidth and types.
• Provide basic information on some key issues that may arise from corporate actions, such as a merger or acquisition.

The AEMO MarketNet Connection Request Form is for those situations where access to AEMO’s market systems is required, and other application forms provide insufficient details for the setting up of network and IT interfaces. The form also provides for all types of changes to existing network connections, including (but not limited to) bandwidth changes, IP changes to the participant tail, and adding another connection.

SYSTEMS ACCESS POLICY

Clause 3.19(c) of the National Electricity Rules (NER) requires AEMO, registered participants and metering service providers (MSPs) to comply with the Systems Access Policy and Procedure. Other parties granted access to AEMO’s market systems are required to contract with AEMO that they will comply with the Systems Access Policy and Procedure.
