Weekly NEM Review Bulletin

Bulletin No. 685 summarises the outcomes for period midnight Sunday 29th January 2012 to Saturday 04th February 2012.

Average maximum temperatures increased in Brisbane, decreased in Adelaide, Hobart and Melbourne, and remained the same in Sydney.

Average prices during week 685 increased in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, and decreased in South Australia and Tasmania. The highest average price occurred in Queensland at $2079.7, and the lowest was in Queensland at $-48.5. The majority of prices fell in the $21 to $30 per MWh range.

Demand averages decreased in South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, and increased in New South Wales and Queensland. The regional demand high for the week was 11,885.5 MW in New South Wales, and the low was 866.0 MW in Tasmania.
